Q4 2025 grants selected

The FPA mem­bers have vot­ed for Q4 2025 grants.

tetek­toza will revamp and enhance the selec­tion sys­tem around spe­cif­ic bug reports list­ed in the grant appli­ca­tion. He will be award­ed a grant of 3,000 EUR.

Pierre-Louis Boy­er aka Pad­dle­Stroke received two grants, for main­tain­ing and improv­ing the Assem­bly and Sketch­er work­bench­es, 3,000€ for each grant. Work on Assem­bly will include both new fea­tures and bug­fix­es, work on Sketch­er will be focused pri­mar­i­ly on bugfixes.

Mor­gan Allen received a grant to get his KiCon­nect PCB to the first pub­lic release and then enhance its func­tion­al­i­ty. The work­bench he’s been work­ing on pro­vides bidi­rec­tion­al inter­op­er­abil­i­ty between FreeCAD and KiCADs v9+ API. Mor­gan will be award­ed a grant of $5200 for the project.

Addi­tion­al­ly, Alek­san­dr Prokudin will update Ond­sel Lens doc­u­men­ta­tion to cov­er recent­ly added fea­tures and write doc­u­men­ta­tion for the Lens addon. Alek­san­dr will be award­ed a grant of 1,000 EUR from the sep­a­rate Ond­sel Onward fund.
